A CHURCH WHERE YOU CAN BELONG

No matter who you are or where you’ve been you are welcome here. We know going to a church for the first time can be intimidating; after all, we all had a “first time” at FCC. We want to answer your questions so you’ll know what to expect when you come! We gather every Sunday with 3 identical services that happen at 8:45, 10:00, and 11:15 at 199 Marina Blvd. Suisun, Ca 94585.

What to expect on your First Sunday

SMILING FACES

One thing we often hear from guests is, “people at FCC are so welcoming and made me feel comfortable.” When you arrive you may have questions, Where do I go? What about my kids? Where’s the bathroom? Look for the people with lanyards! They have the answers. We want to answer any questions you may have and make your experience comfortable.

INSPIRING AND MODERN MUSIC

We have a worship band that is dedicated to leading us to worship the Lord through music. Our music is modern, upbeat, and God-focused.

CLEAN, SAFE, AND SECURE NURSERY - AGES 0-2

We know how important your little ones are. This is why we recently re-modeled our nursery completely. You can expect a clean, safe, and fun environment. All of our children’s workers are trained and background checked so you can know your children are in great hands. When you check in your child through our check-in tablet you can let us know of any special instructions or needs your child might have. The nursery is available at the 10:00 and 11:15 service.

PRACTICAL, SCRIPTURE BASED TEACHING

Pastor Nate is an engaging communicator that preaches through a passage of scripture each week. He is dedicated to not only going verse by verse through the scripture, but showing how the scripture applies to our every day lives. He regularly uses props and stories to communicate the life giving truths of scripture in an understandable way.

PRE-SCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY CLASSES YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE

When your child comes to “kingdom kids” you can expect them to have fun, learn about Jesus, and interact with adults that care for them. Our kids ministry leader has over 20 years experience in public school education and has a passion to help kids know and follow Jesus. Elementary and pre-school classes are available at the 10:00 and 11:15 service.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What time are your services and are they different services?

We have 3 identical services at 8:45, 10:00, and 11:15. The only difference is there is no kids ministry at the 8:45, but a full kids ministry (nursery, preschool, and elementary) at both the 10:00 and the 11:15 service.

What kind of people make up First Christian?

FCC is a multi-generational church made up of people from various backgrounds, ethnicities, and abilities (and we love it this way). Unity in the midst of diversity is a big part of God's Kingdom and something that is reflected at FCC (translation: there is a place for you and the people you care about).

What should I wear?

We’re not really a dress-up kind of a church. Most people wear casual attire, but you're welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.

How long is the service?

Typically it's about 65 minutes.

What does FCC do to serve the community?

One of our core values is to be a church that serves our community. In the lasts 12 months we’ve done blanket, food, and coat drives. We’ve cleaned up local streets, fed the homeless, served at the local food bank, and helped single moms in our community. We hosted a fall festival that allowed us to serve hundreds of people in our community. We look forward to more ways God will allow us to show his love in the future.

If I started coming and wanted to get connected, what should I do?

1. Come to a connect lunch and learn what it means to be a partner at FCC

2. Join a growth group

3. Join a serve team

How does leadership work at FCC?

We have a team approach to leadership. We are led by our lead pastor, elders, and staff. They provide love, care, direction, and spiritual leadership to our church.

Is FCC a part of a denomination?

We are a nondenominational church and have people from various “denominational” church backgrounds.

I'm skeptical about Christianity. Am I still welcome?

YES. Bring your doubts AND your brain with you to FCC. You will have an opportunity to learn, ask questions, share hurts from past experiences, all at your own pace.

Will I feel judged?

Have you ever been to a church where you didn’t feel welcome or felt like you were judged? Yeah, us too. This is not that place.

Have you made a mess of your life? Welcome to the club. Maybe you’re too embarrassed to even show your face in church. Yeah, we’ve been there. There is hope in Jesus and His church. Find out about Him and His grace here at FCC.
